Stand Up To Seizures!
The Child Neurology Society of Nigeria (CNSN) joins the Paediatric Association of Nigeria (PAN) and Millions Worldwide to celebrate this year’s World Epilepsy Awareness Day, also known as ‘Purple Day,’ today, March 26, 2025.
Globally and on a daily basis, Children and Adults with Epilepsy confront the Challenges of stigma, discrimination, treatment gap, limited social integration, poor quality of life, and a higher risk of death.
The CNSN Celebrates All Persons With Epilepsy and their Caregivers as they Fight and Overcome these Challenges.
Epilepsy can be treated with appropriate Anti-Seizure Drugs!
Epilepsy is Not contagious!
Persons With Epilepsy Can Lead Normal lives!
The CNSN identifies with, and advocates the World Health Organisation (WHO)’s Intersectoral Global Action Plan on Epilepsy and other Neurological Disorders (IGAP 2022-2031) whose Goal is to reduce the stigma, impact and burden of epilepsy while improving the quality of life of persons with epilepsy and their caregivers.
The CNSN enjoins All Humanity to foster, prioritise, implement, promote and strengthen epilepsy policy, governance, treatment, care, prevention, and research.
Stand Up For Epilepsy!
Happy celebration!
